The Suffolk Agricultural Association and Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association received a YANA plaque at each of the organisation’s Annual General Meeting’s earlier this year.

The plaques were presented to acknowledge the support YANA has received from both Associations. The teams have made an important contribution towards improving the mental health of those in agriculture and rural businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Having stepped up to the challenge of acknowledging the need for mental health support in agriculture, several staff are now trained as Mental Health First Aiders.

They continue to work inclusively with YANA and other local support organisations.

This support is vital to raising awareness of mental health, providing consistent messages, and ensuring more people know where to find the support they might need.  Be it for themselves or those they are concerned about.

The aim to improve mental health in agriculture and rural businesses is something we are all working towards.

A call to our YANA helpline on 0300 323 0400 can result in fast-track access to funded counselling sessions.
