We are thrilled to welcome our newest trustees to the board, each bringing a unique set of skills and experiences that will be invaluable to YANA at this time of growth and development.

Our Board of Trustees is now made up of six experienced individuals who play a key role in directing the mission and strategy of YANA, as both a mental health and agricultural charity.

New additions

Henry graduated as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 2018, entering full-time practice with Crowshall Veterinary Services LLP as a poultry & gamebird veterinarian, pursuing his interests in population medicine, practical flock health planning, veterinary education & public health.

Having witnessed close-hand the unique pressures on mental health that come with rural work throughout the agricultural & veterinary sectors, Henry champions collaboration between rural sectors & making a difference in the collective mental health of our region, both as a trained Mental Health First Aider, & now as trustee of YANA.

Mike has over lived and worked for the last 36 years in East Anglia having originally migrated east from the west country!  He has spent his entire career in land agency working for Savills, specialising in providing strategic advice to farmers & landowners.

Mike is often called on by his clients to act as a Trustee for the wide variety of property they hold, and is involved on behalf of a Land based  Charity, in periodically advising on one of the largest National Nature Reserves in East Anglia.

Having family experience of mental health issues, Mike is passionate about helping with YANA’s work across the whole region.

Tom runs the Family Business with his Twin Brother. The Farming Partnership is made up of an Arable Unit (Dairy Unit was sold in 2004), Industrial and Commercial lets and Residential Properties. Tom is also a Partner in a Farming Joint Venture with his neighbour, concentrating on Share agreements with local Farmers.

Tom is a Freeman of the City of London, and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Farmers and has held many varied roles as Chair and Trustee over the course of his career.

Tom’s passion is wildlife photography and uses this to purge the pressures of every day life!

Current trustees

Our current trustees joined in June 2020.

They are:

Thank you

Our thanks to Alex Bartram and Matt Hubbard, who served YANA well but have now stepped down as trustees. Fortunately, they remain great advocates and supporters of the work we do in other ways.

Truly grateful for all the quality applications received. A wonderful response to the vacancies listed gave the existing team great reassurance and encouragement.

Whilst everyone couldn’t be appointed, we continue to work closely in other ways, with many that expressed their interest.

Can you help?

If you would like to support the work of YANA with specific skills please do get in touch with us via admin@yanahelp.org or take a look at our general volunteering opportunities.
